AVBOB is highly committed to the social and cultural upliftment of the diverse communities it serves:
  • Services has been taken to the people by opening branches in many previously disadvantaged areas.
  • Annually a number of sporting events are sponsored.
  • Emergency relief in cases of disaster is rendered.
  • A number of cultural programmes are promoted.
  • Training programmes are presented for staff throughout the country to improve standards and their quality of life.
  • The donation of fully-equipped libraries to underprivileged schools.
 

AVBOB's Passport away from Poverty LENTEGEUR (Mitchells Plain). – This week, devoted parents and learners of West End Primary on the Cape Flats took possession of a "passport away from poverty" - namely, literacy, with open arms.

The AVBOB Foundation Is Helping Build Leaders Of Tomorrow Ezindlovini Primary School in rural Kwa Zulu Natal were the proud recipients of a brand new, fully stocked mobile library courtesy of the AVBOB Foundation. The official handover took place at the school on 10 October 2013. This is the 6th mobile school library donation this year and forms part of the AVBOB Foundation’s promise to uplift and empower 30 schools over a three year period.
