When you click on the "Home" button (Fig1.1 - Red Arrow), your Web browser will
display the AVBOB Web Page.

If you are anywhere on the AVBOB Website and you want to return to the AVBOB
Home page, just click on the "Home" button (Fig1.1 - Red Arrow).

The next button is the "Company" button (Fig 1.2 - Black Arrow).

When the "Company" button is clicked, another screen appears (Fig 1.3) wich
gives you the option of viewing Information regarding the AVBOB group under the
following topics.

If you want to view the Corporate Profile, you must click on the "Corporate
Profile" link in the Company Index.(Fig 1.4 - Yellow Arrow)

The Corporate Profile page will now appear on your screen.(Fig 1.5)

To go back to the Company index, just click on the "Back" button on the
toolbar.

If you want to view the Financial Overview, you must click on the "Financial
Overview" link in the Company Index.(Fig 1.6 - Red Arrow)

The Financial Overview page will now appear on your screen.(Fig 1.7)

On the Financial Overview page there are two(2) links (Fig 1.8 - Blue / Black
Arrows):

If you want to view the Income Statement for the Year Ended 30 June 2002, just
click on the link "Income Statement for the Year Ended 30 June 2002". (Fig 1.9

The Income Statement for the Year Ended 30 June 2002 page will now appear on
your screen.(Fig 1.10)

To go to the previous links of the Financial Overview page, just click on the
"Back" button on the toolbar at the top.

To view the Balance Sheet for the Year Ended 30 June 2002, just click on the
link "Balance Sheet for the Year Ended 30 June 2002" on the Financial Overview
Page.

"Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000" link on the Company

The next button on the menu is the "Products" button. (Fig 1.15 - White Arrow)

When you click on this button the AVBOB Products Page appears on your
screen.(Fig 1.16)

If you click on the "Insurance Products" Link (Fig 1.16 - Blue Arrow) or the
"Funeral Products" Link (Fig 1.16 - Brown Arrow) it will come up with an "Under
Construction" Page (Fig 1.17). This is because we are busy creating the product
pages or updating them.

Intranet

The next button is the "Intranet" Button. (Fig 1.18 - Brown Arrow)

When you click on the "Intranet" button, the AVBOB Intranet Page appears on
your screen.

On the AVBOB Intranet page there are two links :

Avbob Applications (Fig 1.19 - Red Arrow)

FTP Downloads (Fig 1.19 - Yellow Arrow)

When you click on the "Avbob Applications" (Fig 1.19 - Red Arrow) link, the
Avbob Applications page appears on your screen (Fig 1.20)

To view a Policy or Debtors enquiry, you have to enter your Username and
Password into the two text boxes provided. (Fig 1.20 - Red Arrow).

After inserting your username and password correctly, you can click on the
"Login" button
(Fig 1.20 - Yellow Arrow) to logon to the Enquiries System.

If your logon was successful, the Main Enquiries Page will appear on your
screen. (Fig 1.21) There are two types of Enquiries :
-
Debtors Enquiries (Fig 1.21 - Yellow Arrow)
-
Policy Enquiries (Fig 1.21 - Black Arrow)

If you want to do any Debtors Enquiries, just click on the "Debtors Enquiry"
Link.

The Debtors Enquiry page will now be appearing on your screen. (Fig 1.23)

Click on the "Debtor Enquiry" Link (Fig 1.23 - Yellow Arrow)

The Enquiry on Debtor Transactions page will now be appearing on your screen.

Just click on the "Enquiry on Debtors Transactions" link (Fig 1.24 - Red Arrow)

The Debtors Enquiry Lookup screen will now appear on your screen.(Fig 1.25)

The first step here is to choose the type of lookup you are going to perform.
There are three different lookup types:(Fig 1.25 - Blue Arrow)

Debtor Enquiry by Name

Debtor Enquiry by Number
-
Debtor Enquiry by Branch Number
-
The second step is to fill out the necessary information in the text boxes
provided, based on the type of lookup you have chosen. (Fig 1.25 - Orange
Arrow)

When everything is filled out properly you can click on the "Debtors Enquiry"
button to perform the Enquiry.(Fig 1.25 - Brown Arrow)

To go back to the Main Enquiries page, you can just click on the "Back" button
on the top menu until the Main Enquiries page appears.

If you want to view any Policy Enquiries, just click on the "Policy Enquiry"
Link.

The Policy Enquiry page will now be appearing on your screen.(Fig 1.28)

Just click on the "Policy Enquiry" link to go to the next step. (Fig 1.28 -

The Enquiry on Policy page will now appear on your screen.(Fig 1.29)

Click on the "Enquiry on Policy" link. (Fig 1.29 - Yellow Arrow)

The Policy Enquiry Lookup page will now be appearing on your screen. (Fig 1.30)

The first step here is to choose the type of lookup you are going to perform.
There are two different lookup types:(Fig 1.30 - Red Arrow)

Policy Enquiry by Name

Policy Enquiry by Number

The second step is to fill out the necessary information in the text boxes
provided, based on the type of lookup you have chosen. (Fig 1.30 - White Arrow)

When everything is filled out properly you can click on the "Policy Enquiry"
button to perform the Enquiry.(Fig 1.30 - Blue Arrow)

To download files from the AVBOB web site, you can use the FTP download option.
-
Simply click on the click on the 'FTP Downloads' link on the 'Intranet' page.

The 'FTP Site' page will now be displayed.(Fig 1.32)

To download Acrobat Reader 5.1, simply right click on the 'Download Acrobat
Reader Application' link. (Fig 1.32 - Red Arrow)

Choose the 'Save Target As ...' option from the popup menu.
-
Select where you want to save the file on your computer and then click on the
'Save' button.
-
The Acrobat 5.1 installation file will now be downloaded to your computer.

To download all of your Discovery Documents, simply click on 'Discovery
Document Downloads' link. (Fig 1.32 - Yellow Arrow)

The 'Download Discovery Documents' page will now be displayed. (Fig 1.33)

To download the documents, simply right click on the links (Fig 1.33 - Purple
Arrows) and follow the instructions given at the bottom of the links.

To download the Quotations package, simply click on the 'Avbob Quotations
Downloads' link (Fig 1.32 - Black Arrow)

The 'Avbob Quotations Downloads' page will be displayed. (Fig 1.34)

Type in your password that was given to you in the text box (Fig 1.34 - Yellow
Arrow)

When your password is filled in, simply click on the 'Login' button. (Fig 1.35

When the password is verified correctly, the package and some extra download
files will appear on the 'Avbob Quotations Downloads' page. (Fig 1.36 - Black

To download and install these files, you can simply follow the instructions
given to you underneath the first link.

Roadmap

The next button is the "Roadmap" button.(Fig 1.31 - Yellow Arrow)

When you click on the "Roadmap" button, the Roadmap page appears on your
screen.(Fig 1.32)

This is the page you are using at the moment to learn how to use the AVBOB Web
Site. Anything you want to now about the AVBOB Web Site, you will find on the
Roadmap page.

Contact Us

The next button is the "Contact Us" button. (Fig 1.33 - Blue Arrow)

When you click on the "Contact Us" button, the Contact Us Page will appear on
your screen. (Fig 1.34)

There are four Contact options to choose from :

Head Office (Fig 1.34 - Blue Arrow)

Funeral Parlours (Fig 1.34 - Yellow Arrow)

Assurance Agencies (Fig 1.34 - Purple Arrow)

Send E-mail (Fig 1.34 - Orange Arrow)

If you want to view the contact details of our Head Office, simply click on the
"Head Office" link. (Fig 1.35 - Blue Arrow)

If you have clicked on the "Head Office" link, then the Head Office Contact
page will be displayed on your screen. (Fig 1.36)

You can just click on the "Back" button to go back to the Contact Us Menu.

If you want to view Contact details on our Funeral Parlours, just click on the
"Funeral Parlours" link (Fig 1.37 - Yellow Arrow)

When you click on the "Funeral Parlours" link, the Funeral Parlour Contacts
page will appear on your screen. (Fig 1.38)

On this page you can view all the detail of our Funeral Parlours.

You can just click on the "Back" button to go back to the Contact Us Menu.

The next link in the Contact Us menu is the "Assurance Agencies" link.(Fig 1.39

If you want to view the information on all our Assurance Agencies, simply click
on the "Assurance Agencies" link.(Fig 1.39 - Purple Arrow)

The Assurance Agencies Contact list will now be showing on your screen.(Fig

This page displayes all the Contact details of our Assurance Agencies.

You can just click on the "Back" button to go back to the Contact Us Menu.

The last link in our Contact Us menu is the "Send E-mail" link

If you want to send us any queries, just click on the "Send E-mail" link.

You will see that when you click on the "Send E-mail" link, a new Mail Message
appears on the screen. (Fig 1.42).

Here you can write any type of query or message that you would like to send us
and then just click on the "Send" Button (Fig 142 - Green Arrow) to send the
message.

How to use E-mail
-
To activate your e-mail, you have to click on one of the Microsoft Outlook
icons. (Fig 1.43 - Red Arrows)

The default directory in your mail client is the "Inbox", this is where all
your incoming mail lies before you read it or after you have opened it. Usually
when you open your mail client, it immediately opens your "Inbox" folder. If
not, just click on the "Inbox" button
(Fig 1.44 - Yellow Arrow) on the left menu.

If no mail is received immediately, you can click on the "Send/Receive"
(Fig 1.44 - Blue Arrow) or simply press "F5" on your keyboard. After this
action, all your mail will be Received and Send out.

How do you open e-mail :
-
If you want to open a e-mail, just put your mouse pointer over the message and
double click on it.
-
A smaller window will open in which your message will appear. (Fig 1.45)
-
If an attachment exists in the e-mail, an icon will appear at the bottom of
your message
(Fig 1.45 - Red Arrow). To open the attachment, you have to double click on it.
-
It will automatically open in the program in which it was drawn up (if it
doesn't open, it means that you do not have that specific program on your
system).

How to answer (reply) to an e-mail :
-
If you want to reply on an e-mail, just click on the "Reply" button
(Fig 1.46 - Green Arrow). You can now type your message in the space provided
and when you are finished, just click on the "Send" button.
-
When you receive an e-mail with a document attached to it that must be
completed or edited, you can open the document by double clicking on it. When
you are done, SAVE the document before sending it back.

How to send an e-mail
-
Click on the "New Mail Message" icon on you mail client's toolbar to open a new
mail

Type the receivers e-mail address in the "to" box (Fig 1.47 - Blue Arrow). If
the user is an AVBOB worker, you can just click on the "Address Book" icon (Fig
1.47 - Green Arrow), where all the addresses are reflected.

Complete the subject line and type your message in the big white block.
-
When your done, click on the "Send" button (Fig 1.47 - Yellow Arrow) to send
your message.

You can attach any type of file to an original mail message
(Documents, Spreadsheets, etc.).
-
Click on the "Paper clip" icon (Fig 1.48 - Red Arrow) and search your pre-drawn
up document on the hard drive.
-
Now you can just double click on the document (Fig 1.48 - Blue Arrow) and it
will be attached to the mail message.

How to save an e-mail or part there of to the hard drive :
-
If you want to save the content of the mail message and not the attachment,
then you must put the cursor at the begining of the written mesage.
-
Press and hold the "Ctrl" button on you keyboard and then press the "A" button.
You will see that everything is selected on you mail message.
-
You can now right click on the selected area and choose the "Copy" option on
your popup menu. (Fig 1.49 - Blue Arrow).

Save an attachment to your hard drive.
-
Point your mouse cursor over the attached file.
-
Right click on the attached file and select the "Save as ..." option (Fig 1.50
- Red Arrow) from the popup menu.
-
You can now choose any destination you wish to save the file to.
-
Another option is to open the file and then save it to a specific destination.
