AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society and its subsidiaries’ (the Group) developed an Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programme to increase participation by small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the country’s economy.
The AVBOB ESD programme is aligned to the Group’s business strategy. Its objective is to empower previously disadvantaged entrepreneurs and SMMEs to become financially stable and sustainable, and promote the creation of employment opportunities which will in turn create economic growth.
Supported by the AVBOB Board, it provides for financial and other resources to be made available to SMMEs in order to establish long-term collaborations with business driven individuals and potentially profitable business entities.
The AVBOB ESD programme is aligned with current legislative and policy requirements of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes.
